RV CARAVAN TO THE RI CONVENTION IN ATLANTA
Attention District 5190 RVers!!! Mel Foremaster and Steve Picha are in the beginning stage of planning an RV trip to Atlanta for the RI Convention next year. Steve is an experienced RV Caravan Wagon Master and recommends we get started on the planning as soon as possible. It is extremely important is to get a good idea of who all is interested in joining us on this trip. This does not mean anyone has to commit at this time, but merely we get an idea of how large the caravan might be to facilitate the early planning process and begin identifying likely RV Resorts that would be good candidates to stay at. It’s much easier to scale back the size than increase the number as we get close to departure.
For planning purposes, Steve also said for this trip to Atlanta, we should plan about 10-14 days to get there to take into account potential break downs and weather delays. The plan is to average about 200-250 miles per day as best possible to ensure we have plenty of time for social hours, food preparation, and dining.
