Born and raised in Colorado, Vic and Kathie met in 1967 while attending Western State College. They married in 1969 and have two grown daughters. Jennifer lives in Alaska and Carrie resides in Texas.
Vic’s thirty six year career in telecommunications began in Denver in 1969, which included twenty years in Alaska, and was completed in Nevada where he retired in August of 2005. With twenty two years of Military service, Vic spent 8 years in the Marine Corps Reserve and retired from the Alaska National Guard. He administered and was a participant in competitive shooting programs in Marine Corps and National Guard. Vic was a trustee in their church and he and Kathie were counselors for the Junior and Senior High students.
Vic became a member of Rotary Club of Fallon in 1997. He was selected as Secretary and held that position for 4 years. Vic remained on the board until he served as President 2003-04. He has served club’s TRF chair and District Extension chair. Vic was Assistant Governor Area 10 in 2005 as well as being nominated District Governor 2007-08. Vic is a Major Donor and member of the Paul Harris Society.
In addition to Rotary, Vic has served on the board of the Nevada Telecommunications Association receiving the Distinguished Service award for his dedication in Telephony. He has served on the Churchill Economic Development Authority as board member and President. He was Secretary-Treasurer and Vice-President of the Navy League of Fallon. Served on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Fallon, a member of the Rawhide Community Advisory Group, active member of the Independent Telephone Pioneers Association, and Competition Director of the Nevada State Rifle and Pistol Association."
