Fundraising Workshop

As a resource to support our Rotary clubs whose fund-raising events have been canceled or postponed, I've arranged for a Zoom workshop on on-line fund-raising to be offered to all our members at no charge.

The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm and will be recorded for access by those of you who want to participate and are not able to join us at that time.

 

The workshop will be provided by a colleague of mine who has worked extensively with not-for-profit organizations and who I find to be exceedingly knowledgeable on this topic.  Kendra Milligan is  a Communications and Resource Development Program Specialist with the Center for Health Innovations and the Nonprofit Resource Group in Silver City.  She has specialized in nonprofit communications for 20 years.

 

Summary of the Workshop:

Learn tips to better tap and retain your nonprofit’s online donors. Connect your fundraising effort to social media for better monetary outcomes, and keep donors informed of the successes their contributions make happen. Online donations continue to increase every year, so get the best tools to connect with your donors so they can keep giving.

 Participants will learn:

• Overview of online giving
• How to solicit and manage online donors
• Considerations for selecting a fundraising site
• No cost platforms for communicating with donors
