At Volunteering New Plymouth's Award Presentation night  - held at New Plymouth District Council on Monday the 17th June, a Rotarian and local volunteer well known in the Taranaki district, LeAnne Blakelock received an Individual National Volunteer Week Award. LeAnne was nominated by Inglewood Rotary Club for all the work she does in the Community. She is a valued Rotarian, and the Board Chair of Vertical Horizons.

Board Treasurer at Volunteering New Plymouth and a Trustee at The Taranaki Retreat and helped set up Mad Cows of Inglewood.  LeAnne works on her family farm with her partner, owns her own Inglewood Accountancy business, and also puts a lot of time into working with individuals and families needing assistance with furniture, clothing and food.

LeAnne works tirelessly cooking for the Community Fridge and Take them a Meal.

LeAnnes continuing work within the Taranaki Community is well known and she has made huge impacts on the lives of those she has assisted.

LeAnne practices wholeheartedly   “Service Above Self”.
