Thank you so much for having us at your meeting on Thursday night.  Karen and I thoroughly enjoyed the (affectionate) ribbing we received !, it was like we were “Dreamin’”

On reflection, the night was one of the best Rotary nights we have had.  The program was excellent and varied – so well done to all who put it together and for making it so enjoyable.

The music from the students, the Exchange student, the food, the presentation of the Work Ready program, the Honorary Membership, the induction of two members and a Corporate member, the lively and inspirational presentation by your District Governor and the farewell to Grace, all combined to make it a memorable night out.  I am not sure I have seen so much “Rotary content” packed into a meeting before – it was very enjoyable.  As always, when you visit other Districts/Clubs, especially overseas, I will be taking many ideas back to my own Rotary Club.

Well done and Thank you.

  • Lindsay and Ken: it would be great if I could get a copy of you weekly Bulletin (which I think I saw Don taking notes)
  • DG Mitchell: Inspirational ! Keep up the great work – you add a lot of energy and depth of understanding to Rotary and it’s great.  See you in Toronto
  • PDG Ross and AG Richard:  Thank you for your company and fellowship – for Kiwis you’re not too bad !
  • Grace: Enjoy Fitzroy Crossing in WA – it will be challenging and I think you will do well.  Keep in contact.
  • Linnea: Really enjoyed your presentation – vibrant and engaging – well done
  • Karen and I are heading off to New Plymouth today, after a lazy rest day in Palmerston North on Friday (although we still managed to walk 9.5 kms – about half along the Manawatu river bank and through the esplanade gardens at Fitzherbert Park - brilliant).
Look forward to catching up again.

Yours in Rotary Service and Fellowship
