PDG Graeme Blick is the District 9940 COL Representative. He informs Rotarians of the COL  Legislative Results.
Council on Legislation meets online each year.  Representatives from all of Rotary’s districts vote on Resolutions that Clubs, Districts, the RI Board, and the General Council have proposed.  The RI Board of Directors considers all Resolutions that the Council adopts.
Six months ago I distributed to all clubs in our District the proposed 33 Resolutions for 2019 asking for clubs to vote for adopting or rejecting each Resolution.  These are listed in the attached along with links to the full Resolutions.  My thanks to the 12 clubs and individuals that responded.  
Based on the responses I voted on behalf of our District.  I have included in the attached in red how we voted as a District.  We agreed with all but 5 of the final RI results  - these are highlighted in bold.
Of the 33 proposed Resolutions RI voting as a whole only approved 7 as detailed below:
19R-05 - To request the RI Board to consider recommending that clubs form a strategy committee View detailed resolution (PDF)
·      19R-15 - To request the RI Board to consider recommending guidelines for Rotaract clubs View detailed resolution (PDF)
·      19R-17 - To request the RI Board to consider publicizing all of Rotary’s achievements and activities, including vocational service View detailed resolution (PDF)
·      19R-18 - To request the RI Board to consider emphasizing vocational service for the purpose of membership development View detailed resolution (PDF)
·      19R-21 - To request the RI Board to consider informing Rotarians about the progress of RI’s tax status change View detailed resolution (PDF)
·      19R-26 - To request the Trustees to consider allowing modifications to the original approved budget of a global grant View detailed resolution (PDF)

The RI Board of Directors will now consider these 7  Resolutions and how they might be implemented.
