What service projects do you and your club participate in to support peace and conflict prevention / resolution?

Rotary International has considered global peace to be a priority since its very beginning. Aware of the difficult task, Paul Harris stated: “The road to conflict and war is well paved, the road to peace is a wilderness” meaning that it is easy to ignite arguments and misunderstanding, but it is more difficult to build unity and understanding. In 1917, Rotary International President Arch Klumph established an organization, which two years later; he named “The Rotary Foundation”. Its mission was defined as follows: to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty. Today, through the foundation programs, an impressive number of grants support thousands of communities.
