(Rockport-Fulton, Texas) A time to reflect and pay tribute to those who help and protect us is coming to the Festival Grounds at Rockport Harbor by way of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation with the popular and informational 911 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit. The event will also include a static display of First Responder vehicles where most of them were involved in the critical rescue efforts of Hurricane Harvey.

The event will kick off with a Press Conference and Media Briefing on Friday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. followed by the exhibit opening and at 6 p.m. a special one hour 911 Eye Witness Testimonial and Candlelight Memorial Service will be held at the stage. At this service, speakers will give where they were on that day and where they assisted in the tragedy. On Saturday, Feb. 17, a special Reading of the Names Ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the exhibit opening until 6 p.m. On Sunday, Feb. 18, the exhibit will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The exhibit, as it travels across the nation, serves as an educational tool. Through the presentation of artifacts, including actual steel beams from the towers, documentary video, recordings of first-responder radio transmissions, as well as guided tours by Fire Department of New York firefighters and informative timelines provided by the 9/11 Tribute Center, people will learn what took place and the ultimate sacrifice so many made that day.

The exhibit is a mobile, high-tech, 53-foot tractor-trailer, which unfolds into a 1,000 square foot exhibit.

The 911 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit Committee would like to pay tribute to all First Responders in Aransas County and exhibit local first responder equipment at the site for the public to show their appreciation for the work they do.

Entrance into the exhibit will be free of charge.

About Stephen Siller…
Sixteen years ago 9/11 changed the world as we know it forever…. Stephen Siller, a New York City Firefighter, was there on 9/11. He gave his life helping others.  His family established the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation – in his honor and in his memory. In September 2013 the Foundation dedicated the 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit.  It’s welcomed around the country, from communities in Phoenix, Arizona to Tampa, Florida, the mobile exhibit—a high-tech, 53-foot tractor-trailer, which unfolds into a 1,000 square foot exhibit—serves as a poignant reminder of that infamous day. The goal is to provide an enlightening experience that will help communities to “Never Forget”.
