A local school district got some much-needed help from the Rotary Club of Boerne this past Friday.
Boerne ISD said the club donated 1,200 face shields for teachers and staff to use throughout the school year.
The district has seen seven COVID-19 cases throughout since opening up to in-person instruction.
Boerne ISD Athletic Director Stan Leech, who is also a member of the club, presented the face shields Friday. BISD staff who decide to wear them must also continue to wear a mask.
