The Eagle Pass Rotary Club purchased school supplies for two elementary schools: Ray H. Darr and Pete Gallegos Elementaries.
The initial intent was to deliver school supplies that would supplement the students' needs in the classroom such as crayons, composition books, pencils, scissors and notebooks but these items are not currently needed for remote learning. Therefore the club reached out to the principals of the schools to find out how they could be more relevant with their donation. The principals asked for hand sanitizers, lysol, gloves and disinfecting wipes so they donated those items in addition to a few school supplies that had already been purchased. Furthermore they donated a locker to store said goods with both the Rotary and school logos to remind staff of their partnership.
