In the municipality of Zacoalco de Torres, Mexico; the New Braunfels Rotary in a joint project with the Rotary Club of Zacoalco held several joint ribbon-cutting ceremonies on October 21, 2019, to unveil newly installed water fountains with filtration systems for Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle schools students.

The Rotary Club of Zacoalco also unveiled three additional water fountains for a total of six fountains for the calendar year 2019.   The six water fountains installed will permit approximately 775, students and teachers to drink better water without contaminants to assist in a healthier environment.  A water fountain at each school replaced the 5-gallon containers water jug that parents and teachers were purchasing for students.  Students, teachers, and parents looked on as New Braunfels Rotarians took their first drink.  Soon after that, students excitedly formed up and began to drink water from their  school water fountain.
