The Rotary Clubs of Fredericksburg, Fredericksburg-Morning and Fredericksburg-Nimitz have continued to partner up for our Early Childhood Literacy Committee. We recently delivered another bin full of "Books For Babies" totes to Hill Country Memorial Hospital OB Department.
In the totes are 2 books and brochures (in English & Spanish) that explain the importance of reading to your child from birth so they can start to develop the critical skills of reading. Every new parent at HCMH gets a Books For Babies tote bag. In addition, our "Book Buddies" program delivers free books to various clinics and waiting rooms around Gillespie County for kids to take home.
