Fellow Rotarians,

From my family to yours, Happy New Year! We can all say that 2020 brought many challenges, blessings in disguise, and a new perspective on life in one way or another. I've always believed that the end of one thing was the beginning of another. However, It is our perspective that shapes the direction of our future.
Collectively, we have all come to know just how connected the world really is. Although we live in our own little bubbles of life, our contributions to this world can be felt thousands of miles away. This once-in-a-lifetime pandemic (fingers crossed) has brought many lessons that I'm sure we will reflect on for years to come.

Clubs in our district stepped up to the challenge, and members continue to answer the call for support within their local communities. I applaud each of you for your selfless service and innovation. With six months to go in this Rotary year, let's stay inspired, remember our Rotary "Why," and maximize our contributions.

To the District & Club Leaders (past and present), thank you. Your support, counsel, and trust have helped steer this big ship on a course that's adaptable and poised to continue the vibrancy and growth. As we head into the latter half of the year, we'll need your support more than ever.

Last but not least, we remember those we lost to COVID-19 and other causes. My heart goes out to all of you who lost loved ones in 2020. Our prayers are with you for strength, peace, and healing. Your Rotary family is here for you - always.

We are Humanitarians On A Mission, and “Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”

Cheers and Blessings in 2021!

What's To Come In 2021

Saturday, January 30, 2021, Rotary International President, Holger Knaack
Join us as we welcome RI President Holger Knaack to District 5840! His enlightening and inspiring speech will help us chart our path ahead, shed light on our fight against COVID-19, and other unique opportunities for our communities and ourselves. We will also conduct a drawing for our ongoing Rotary Superhero Challenge and select three clubs to win $500 each!

Our Role In Vaccine Distribution and Healthcare Support
Many have asked if we will have a role in fighting against COVID-19. The short answer is yes, with more information to come. In the meantime, let's help combat the powerful, growing force of vaccine resistance and misinformation. Our advocacy in our communities will be critical — we need to spread the message about the power of vaccines to save lives.

Working together, we have done so much to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, to care for our communities, and to prepare Rotarians for the work ahead.

We do this for ourselves and future generations. We do this as part of our obligation to support our world as it faces the most significant challenge of this generation.
