Did you know that over 150 thousand San Antonio families need affordable housing?  The Rotary Club of Alamo Ranch serviced the local community by volunteering for another great organization, Habitat for Humanity San Antonio.
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit agency helping hardworking families in San Antonio in need of access to homes they can call their own.  Each family is required to put in 300 hours or more in building their future home.

During this service project, the club met and worked alongside the future owner of the house and shared stories of their childhood, places traveled, and the future of the community.  Members recall how thankful, proud, and excited the new homeowner was to be able to have a place she could call her own. And to be able to provide a safe living environment for her daughters.

Our club welcomes and encourages non-Rotarians in volunteering and giving back to the community.  Many non-Rotarians join our club at our service projects as well as fundraising events throughout the year.  Our upcoming service project with Habitat for Humanity is Saturday, November 9, 2019.
