Our Goal

That by 2050 there is no more plastic soup in the oceans, seas, no more plastic waste in our lakes, rivers, forests, parks and streets.

 

Gert-Jan Van Dommelen is co-founder of EndPlasticSoup, the global environment initiative for Rotary to solve and prevent plastic pollution.

Rotary, Rotaract & Interact Clubs worldwide work together to prevent and solve the plastic waste problem across the full cycle.

Gert-Jan van Dommelen has a successful track record in the financial, public, healthcare and industrial sectors as consulting leader technology services IBM Benelux and executive program manager. Leader with vision and execution drive, delivering transformation programs with a strong focus on quality and business benefits.

Gert-Jan is passionate about circular economy, next generation living, learning and building a future of inclusiveness, people matter in his home town and abroad. He is a Paul Harris fellow with Rotary International and honored Member of the Dutch Royal Order of Oranje Nassau.
