This is to announce the Peace Communities Program 25 year celebration weekend.
At the District AGM in November at Young, the clubs voted to support the 25th Anniversary of the District Peace Communities Program with a grant of $5000.

This celebration will be held on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th February with a Gala Dinner to complete a motivating program. The Gala dinner is $55pp and all other events on the program are free and open to all Rotarians and the public.

District Governor George is hoping as many clubs across the District as possible will support this anniversary celebration. Please consider attending this event as a club group. I am sure the discussion groups will be thought-provoking.

The District Peace Communities Program which was initiated in this District, has gone around the world and now has 70 communities involved in 9700, around Australia and overseas. Peace is one of Rotary Internationals key platforms and something we as Rotarians can be very proud. We promote peaceful conditions with all our programs both at home and around the world. This program seeks to have whole communities come together and dedicate their town, city or village to the ideals of a peaceful community.
If you have any questions feel free to contact Peace Secretary Phillip Tome, 0402463102. Bookings and payment for the dinner are required by the 14th February.  Members of the public are welcome to attend without notice.
