Dear Olek,
Dear Friends from Rotary Club of Canberra Burley Griffin,

Thank you very much for your generous donation of AUS$ 10 500 (31 608,15 PLN).

Your contribution will be used directly in the area of HELP FOR UKRAINE focused on help for children including accommodation for them, food, basic needs, and education, according to the goals you have sent.

Your help is very special for us because our Club - Rotary Club of Warsaw, est. 1931 (renewed in 1989 as 3rd NGO in Poland) - the oldest Rotary club in Poland (before and after World War II), was renewed after the Second World War by the Rotary Club of Canberra, and the tremendous job of the late Jack Olsson OAM PDG PHF and another Rotarians from Canberra.

The oldest Rotary presidential chain was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Canberra and the bell was sponsored by your Club.

You probably wondered if we were toasting you at the meeting today. Of course! But we also wanted to mention that each start of our meetings begins with the sound of the bell that we received from you (RCCBG) and reminds us that Rotary in Poland comes from Australia - from Canberra.

Above is our club's presidential chain with information of Australian origin.

From Piotr Kaczorowski,
President of the Rotary Club of Warsaw.
