Background
In 2009 the Rotary International District 9750 (Sydney & environs) initiated the inaugural “Inspirational Women’s Awards” at a dinner held in Sydney to honour inspirational women in our community. The event has increased in popularity each year and now receives considerable support and publicity across the state of New South Wales. Whilst the event began in the Sydney district, it is now supported by all Rotary Districts in NSW and Inner Wheel has enthusiastically joined the group.
The next award function will be held on the 19th of August 2018. The eight NSW Rotary Districts and Inner Wheel will nominate women who are unsung heroes in their communities with the State award being presented to the woman who is considered by the selection committee to be the epitome of service above self, having worked consistently and tirelessly to make this world a better place.
