Clubs from around the district will be doing many different projects tied to addressing poverty /  hunger problems we face right here at home.

This will be a great day for you and your club to help lessen this problem by volunteering in a local project, contributing funds from a project you already have scheduled for that day or coming up with a new way to combat these problems on  7 May 2016.

We ask that each participating club let us know what you have planned for the day of service so we can help you to receive more publicity for your project.  Please share your project with us here:  http://goo.gl/forms/37wnkdmoqo.  We can use the information that is collected to submit press releases to local media that encompasses all projects around the Capital District.

District PR Chair, PDG Melissa, has suggested that each participating club have one or two people with a smartphone take short video clips of your club working on your chosen project.  You can send those clips to her at Melissa@Rotary7190.org  and she will compile them into a video for our YouTube Channel and to share on social media.  you can also post those clips publicly on your own personal social media channels and club Facebook page using the hashtag #RotaryDOS and they will be shared on the District Facebook Page.   (Using a hashtag on Facebook requires that you post that status update publicly so people who are not "friends" with you can see them.  If you are not directly connected to Melissa, she will not be able to see your hash tagged FB post if it is posted as friends only or in a group).
