I am very pleased to announce that Jack Schraeter of the Portland Sunrise Club has been nominated as the Area representative to the District Finance Committee for a three year term starting July 1, 2022. Jack's Rotary severely redacted resume includes:
- Joined Portland Rotary Club 1985, serving on multiple committees
- Transferred to Windham Rotary Club, again serving in multiple capacities, president 1997-98
- Transferred to Rotary Club of Casco Bay (now Portland Sunrise), again serving in multiple areas
Jack is employed (13 years) by Encompass Health Corp (formerly known as HealthSouth), based in Birmingham, AL. Encompass Health is the nation’s largest rehabilitation medicine/inpatient adult post-acute care hospital system with 140+ hospitals in 41 states and Puerto Rico (including New England Rehabilitation Hospital, Portland). Encompass Health is the third largest provider of home health and hospice services, with 345+ home health agencies and 90 hospice agencies. Jack is Encompass Health’s Director of International Programs with responsibilities including worldwide healthcare recruiting as well as managing the company wide visa program, with responsibilities for a budget in excess of $3,500,000.
Jack is married with 2 daughters, ages 36 and 29. His wife Chris Simons has 2 daughters as well, ages 38 and 32. Jack and Chris make their home in Yarmouth.
