Attendance at the October trainings:  We expect the club President-elect to attend the primary site identified above.  If  there is a scheduling conflict on the primary date, please attend another session.  If unable to attend any of the three, the next in line , ie. Club VP, should attend.  If neither person is able to attend, we ask that one of your board members fill the slot.

October training PRE-WORK.  We will spend significant time discussing how clubs convey current club goals, identify precise action steps,  and progress towards goals with current club members.  Different clubs use different tools and methods.  Your Club, right now, either through its board of directors or the club president, or some combination thereof, has some goals.

1.        Come prepared to discuss how your current club leadership communicated those goals to the general membership at the start of this rotary year, and how the general membership has been informed as to which club member(s) has specific ownership/responsibility for delivering on which sub-component of the goal(s).

2.       Pay attention between now and October 15.  How has current club leadership kept members informed on progress towards some or all of those goals?  How much board time has been spent at the board meetings in August, September, or October focused on progress toward goals and individual accountability?

3.       Download the expectations detailed in the current (2019-2020) Rotary Citation for Clubs.  Be prepared to discuss synergies or disconnects between your club's current goals and the citation criteria.

4.       PLEASE NOTE:  The focus of this discussion is about methodology and communications, it is not about actual goals or actual progress – we're not gathering to keep score on any one or any club.
