WHY ROTARIANS GIVE

Rotary is all about service. Different people and clubs do different things, support different causes, and have impact in different ways. We have been improving the lives of children. We have provided opportunities for education, eliminated diseases with improved sanitation and clean water, improved economic conditions for families, improved maternal and childhood health, made major strides in peace in conflict areas, and have almost eradicated Polio. The common denominator for over 1.2 million Rotarians, from almost every country, every culture on the planet, is that we are ALL striving to make our communities and world a better place. That’s powerful, and Rotarians in District 5450 love being a part of it!

Recent comments from Rotarians as to why they give to the Rotary Foundation:
  • It is a way in which I can touch a life or a need half a world away from me.
  • There is no better way to have a meaningful impact in people’s lives who desperately need it than through the Rotary Foundation.
  • It creates livable environments for people who otherwise wouldn’t have it.
  • I can’t go and do these things myself, but gifts we give will leave an unseen legacy that change people’s lives.
Thank you to everyone who has given a gift to The Rotary Foundation to support the Annual Fund, to help eradicate polio, and to fund special international projects in any of the six Areas of Focus!

If you have not already contributed, please support our 2018-19 efforts that will provide funding for district grants through gifts to the Annual Fund or to PolioPlus (Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s 2:1 match triples your gift amount) for polio eradication.  Use this link to make your contribution today!
