DISTRICT 5450 YOUNG ROTARIANS IN ACTION!
September brings good news for each of the 52 Young Rotarian Clubs in District 5450. Each celebrates local and international service projects in 2018-19 we recognize and congratulate. Think of all the good they are doing in our world and what we are fostering for future Rotaractors and Rotarians!
- 2018-19 District Ron Prascher Young Rotary Award was presented to Conifer High School Interact Club by DG Curt Harris at a Conifer Rotary Club meeting this summer.
- 2018-19 Presidential Citation with GOLD Distinction was awarded by RI President Barry Rassin to four Interact clubs!
- 2018-19 brought 4 new Interact Clubs to District 5450:

District 5450 Young Rotary Conference – SAVE THE DATE – Saturday, November 2, 2019
An interactive conference with break-out sessions for Young Rotarians and Advisors
Location: The Academy of Charter Schools in Westminster, CO
Time: Registration begins 8:30 am. Program at 9:00 am. Conference closes at 1:30 pm.
All District 5450 Young Rotarians in Interact Clubs are invited to attend, along with 2019 YRYLA and RYLA attendees. $10 registration | Lunch: Chick-fil-A | Service Project: Yuda Bands | Free t-shirt and 2019-20 Rotary Theme Pin | Connection to Rotaract.
SAVE the DATE postcard is being sent to the school of the Young Rotary Club and will have a link with complete registration information.
What can your sponsoring Rotary Club do?
Provide for the $10 registration fee, encourage your Interact members to attend and help them find a way to travel to the conference. Think how you can cooperate with Rotary Clubs in your area to assist in having as many Young Rotary students attend the conference.
We are shooting for several hundred Young Rotarians to attend! Imagine all the good that will come from their connection with each other.

The Youth Services chair must go to www.rotary.org and update the name and email address of the school advisor ASAP! Note: I have sent a request to the advisors, too, but a Rotarian must be the one to update the information. If this is not updated the Interact Club ID# and information will be terminated.
