Over 150 people showed up to honor Diane Confer at a Retirement Party held on May 19. With food, beverages, gifts, songs, and lots of hugs to go around, DIane was celebrated for her 38 years of dedicated service as district administrator for District 5950. “We are here to honor Diane Confer’s 38 years of service to Rotary 5950.  While we know that everyone in this room would like to share wishes, we realized we’d be here for days. And since Diane really did not want any recognition and dreads being the center of attention, we decided that a few people would offer some special gifts on behalf of all of us.  So for the next few minutes we’ll celebrate 38 years of the GIFT OF SERVICE that you have been to all of us and then we can hang around and share our personal wishes with Diane.  Let’s move on to celebrate the GIFT YOU have been to our district and so many 5950 Rotarians …  so take a deep breath, Diane and ENJOY!  …
