Greetings from the District Membership Team. I hope this message finds you and your family safe, healthy, and happy!
August is Membership Month – has your Club made sure that every member in your Club connects with Rotary at least once a month?
Leadership is not about being in charge, Leadership is about taking care of the people in your charge!
If one or more of your Club members have had no contact with Rotary in August, it is not because they don’t reach out, it is because your Club has not reached in – reaching in within your Club membership and making connection with every member every month is your Club’s responsibility. Do not let the weekly club meetings overwhelm you from reaching in within your club to connect with your members. A monthly personal TLC (tender loving care) goes a long way!
How? A phone call, a postcard, a 2020-2021 Rotary Theme Pin in the mail – be traditional and be innovative. Rotary has talent and Rotary is stronger than COVID.
Talking about Rotary stronger than COVID, the District Membership Team hosted a lively, fun, and informational Membership Seminar on Saturday August 15, 2020, themed “Rotary stronger than COVID”. Rotary connections happen at the following three areas - Club Meetings, Service Projects, and Fundraising Activities. This Membership Seminar showed real examples in hosting fun ZOOM meetings, duplicable service projects, and workable virtual/hybrid fundraisers. If you missed the Seminar, you can view it on the District website - thanks to Past District Governor Arley for the quick website update.
Our District Rotary Clubs are hosting inductions. We welcomed 23 new members in the month of July. Let’s continue to grow Rotary in 2020 & beyond.
