As part of our 'Breaking the Chains' activities, very little is not getting a review this year on how better District can deliver support and help to clubs.

After reviewing the Membership Forum event held last year we are planning some changes for 2019-20 to make the forum more accessible with a strong emphasis on “how to”. There will be plenty of take-home strategies and skills.

Aimed at Presidents, Presidents-Elect, Club Membership Chairs and their committees we will be conducting not one, but four membership forums geographically spread throughout the district.

The great news, no one will have very far to travel to attend one, and if the date of your nearest doesn’t work for you then you could attend one of the others. The forums will run for 4 hours and will be funded by part of the extra allocation in this year’s budget.

Proposed locations span across cluster boundaries so we are asking our AG’s to collaborate and consult with the clubs closest to the forum locations to set the dates, select specific venues and make the arrangements. District Membership Chair David Hanlon and his presenters and facilitators will then come and run the forum on the agreed date.

While some minor adjustments may need to be made based on facility availabilities or suitability, the spread of locations for the four forums are:

Bairnsdale – AG’s Anne Cross and Don Crewe
Moe/Warragul – AG’s Peter Dell, Don Crewe, Geoff Young
Frankston/Mornington – AG’s Steve Daly, Sjaak Kusters, Geoff Young
Leongatha/ Wonthaggi – DGN Bill Degnan, AG’s Peter Dell, Don Crewe.

Watch closely for more information on this.
