Rotary International Director Visits District 9820
On the 31st August, Rotary International Director Guiller Tumangan and his wife Letty briefly visited District 9820 on their tour of all Australian Rotary Districts. This was the first time that a Director of Rotary International had made an official visit tour of all Districts within Australia.
They were welcomed to our District by District Governor Merv & Christine and a number of Past District Governors and some members of the District Leadership Team at a club reception at Mount Martha. Guiller is the Rotary Director of zones 7B & 8 which includes all Rotary Districts in the Philippines, New Zealand and Australia. DG Merv outlined the activities of the clubs within the District both locally and overseas and they were also impressed with the views of the Mornington Peninsula.
