They all experienced the culture and history both recent and ancient and had many rewarding experiences such as riding 13 in the back of a ute and carting mulch at Green Gecko Project’s Farm and still having the energy for a game of soccer with the Gecko kids. One of the highlights was 3 days spent teaching at the Junior High School for which we will be fundraising to buy computers (Contributions from other clubs welcome! US$50 will buy a computer!) This school has 400 students and only one computer. Another highlight was a 31/2-hour journey into the countryside to visit a school built by the Landmine Relief Centre using money donated by last year’s group. This school was operating under a piece of shade cloth until the 2 wooden classrooms were built. Our students decided to donate $4000 to help build 2 more classrooms. We also donated 15 bikes and 90 Sports Uniforms at Krasang Roleung Primary School. We all agreed this was the best and most productive trip ever!!
