The Lewisville Morning Rotary Club hosted their 1st Annual Art and Craft Silent Auction during the Lewisville Chalk This Way Festival was held on a Stormy Saturday, May 9th at the MCL Grand Theater in Old Town Lewisville. In spite of the absolutely horrible weather, the club raised enough money to fund 3 scholarships for the 3 High School Student winners of the Chalk competition. Lewisville Morning Rotary partnered with Lewisville Noon Rotary to Sponsor the Art competition. As sponsors, our clubs had a giant Rotary Logo drawn by professional artists on the side walks for the event. Unfortunately, the storms hit just as the art work was completed. Somewhere in the Trinity River basin lies the chalk remains of our Rotary Logo.
