ROTARY CLUB OF CANTON’S ANNUAL FOUR PERSON GOLF SCRAMBLE
The Rotary Club of Canton once again held its Annual “Four Person Golf Scramble” on June 28, 2019 at the Sanctuary Golf Course. Out of 84 golfers, there were several Rotarians attending from Canton South Rotary, Plain Township Rotary, Massillon Rotary and North Canton Rotary.  The golfers began their day with donuts and coffee and ended with a steak dinner. Each golfer received a door prize when they concluded their round of golf.
 
The winning foursome consisted of Dave Hufstetler, Adam Hufstetler, Mark Hufstetler and Todd Hufstetler. The first-place team received (4) $50 gift cards from Foxy Golf. The second-place team each received a Calloway Golf shirt. This team consisted of Drew Pelger, Dan Pelger, Derek Gordon and Nate Mullen. Not to be left out was the last place team of Charles Smith, Hannelore Smith, Paul Smith and Stevie Smith. They each received a round of golf at the Sanctuary Golf Course.

PHILOMATHEON SOCIETY OF THE BLIND ANNUAL PICNIC
On June 22, 2019, the Philomatheon Society of the Blind in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Canton held its annual picnic. Everyone attending enjoyed the great picnic food, fresh fruit and the prizes awarded to the Bingo game winners! A wonderful time was had by all, but the best part of the picnic was the fellowship between the Rotary volunteers and the Society members. 
 
FAREWELL PARTY FOR PAST PRESIDENT MICHELLE MULLALY
Around 30 Canton Rotarians and guests attended the farewell celebration for outgoing President Michelle Mullaly held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Burntwood Tavern in Belden Village, Canton. Appetizers and beverages were enjoyed by all who attended. The farewell party celebrated the end of Michelle’s term as Club President and to thank her for her outstanding service to the Rotary Club of Canton.
 
CANTON ROTARY OFF TO A FANTASTIC NEW MEMBER ENROLLMENT
The start of the new Rotary year has been good for the Rotary Club of Canton! In just the first month, we have introduced two new members and re-introduced a past member back into the Club.
 
On July 19, 2019 two new members were introduced to the Club. Rotarian Jeff Scott (sponsor) introduced his new member Michael Caskey. Michael is employed by The Canton Repository.
 
President Mark Rojek (sponsor) introduced his new member Marisa Rohn. Marisa is employed by Stark State College.
 
A special re-introduction was given by Rotarian Ernie Schott (sponsor) to returning Canton Rotarian Sam Shaheen. Sam is employed with Cutler Real Estate.
 
The Rotary Club of Canton is very pleased to have Michael, Marisa and Sam as part of its membership!
