“Rotary’s broker has ceased their endeavours to arrange automatic cover for uninsured stallholders as part of Rotary’s annual liability policy. This is due to not all Rotary districts throughout Australia returning the necessary information.
Clubs that have activities that involve stallholders, such as Sunday Markets, Fairs, Swap Meets & Motor Shows, have two options:
- Arrange an annual policy themselves (I am happy to assist with this on pro-bono basis)
- Ensure than all stallholders have their own insurance (& maintain a copy of this insurance for at least 7 years)
Due to changes in legislation, the $6 option, where a form is completed & sent off after the activity is no longer available. Additionally, under no circumstances should clubs be seen to be selling insurance.
