Pilots Extended

In November 2013 the RI Board of Directors accepted the recommendation of the Membership Development and Retention Committee to “extend the Associate Membership, Corporate Membership, Innovative and Flexible Clubs, and Satellite Club Membership pilot programs for a second three-year term, to conclude on 30 June 2017”.

What does this specifically mean for your club? The pilot program will continue through 2017 and you can continue to administer and implement the pilot in your club without any other modifications.

-----------Information especially for clubs participating in the Satellite Club Pilot----------
We want to remind clubs participating in the Satellite Club Pilot that the April 2013 constitutional change to allow existing clubs to develop satellite clubs differs substantially from the current Satellite Club Pilot in the following ways:
  • the pilot program is testing multiple meeting times and/or places for one Rotary club
  • the new legislation allows Rotary clubs to sponsor a satellite club which is intended as a temporary step on the way to becoming an independent Rotary club
For pilot clubs wanting to report satellite clubs to Rotary International, please continue to use the New Satellite Club Online Form

The information found on the Club Administration page of rotary.org including the Satellite Club Application and Satellite Club Member Information Form are for non-pilot clubs. Additional information can be found in the 2013 Manual of Procedure.
