Attract and Engage!
That is the theme of the Membership Forum.
What do we do to attract new Rotarians
What do we do to engage them in the way of Rotary?
The first session will feature a short talk by Roy Balfour who will describe the critical importance of a sharply defined community service strategy and will also show the direct impact on membership initiatives.
The next session will concentrate on shared experiences through roundtable discussions about attracting prospective Rotarians. Table moderators will enable participants to share their experiences and ideas about who and how to approach prospective members, targeting, elevator speeches and what the key elements of attracting new members should be.
The third session will continue the roundtable format and concentrate on the issue of engaging new members in Rotary. As we have found in our district and throughout the country, the engagement of new members in Rotary from the first day is critical to retaining them as long time members.
The fourth session will be very interesting and novel. We will have six members who have joined Rotary during the past year share their impressions, experiences and ideas. They will talk about how they were approached, what attracted them to Rotary, how they were inducted, integrated and familiarized with Rotary and how the promise of Rotary is being kept.
The last session will be a short talk on motivation by the dynamic new President of the Worcester Club, Satya Mitra. We will also have available for display several items used by clubs for communication, public image and public relations. This is a must meeting for Presidents, President Elects, Membership Chairs and all Rotarians interested in strengthening their clubs. It will be fun, interesting, educational and motivational.
