Car Donation Needed

Past District Governor Klaus Hachfeld is asking for help for Gani Abazi who was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar in District 7910 as a medical student at the Harvard School of Public Health and is continuing his studies to become a neuro-surgeon.

Earlier this year someone was kind enough to give Gani a Honda Civic which served his need very well. Sadly the car was stolen the day before Thanksgiving and the police doubt they will have any luck getting the car back. Consequently, Klaus Hachfeld is asking whether anyone is willing to donate a functional car to Gani, or sell him one at a reasonable price, given his circumstances.

“Gani has been a wonderful friend to Rotary,” Hachfeld says. “He helped start a Gift of Life chapter in Kosovo, which to date has saved the lives of 40 children with congenital heart conditions.  He has also been my partner as we guided the Rotary Matching Grant that supplied surgical instruments for reconstructive hand surgery to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo; a two year effort that involved seven Rotary clubs in four countries and was just completed last month.”

Many Rotarians in District 7910 know Gani and are aware of his humanitarian work while he continues his studies here in the States. Please give some thought as to how you can help Gani find another car.
Gani can be contacted in Malden at (781) 308-6635 and gani.abazi2@gmail.com
