Grant Management Training on July 31, 2017

This fiscal year we will have $45,000, the most money ever available for District grants.  Our goal is to have all clubs apply for a grant.  To be qualified to apply clubs must do four simply tasks.

  1. Sign the 2017-18 Memorandum of Understanding.  District 7910 signs an MOU with The Rotary Foundation each year which outlines the District’s responsibility to handle the Foundations monies in a responsible manner.  In the same manner, clubs need to agree with the District to be responsible with the money awarded to them through grants.
  2. Have a member (or more than one) in the club attend the Grant Management Training.  This training is good for a three year period of time.  The next training is a webinar on July 31, 2017 to be held from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  Participate in the webinar from the comfort of your home or office.  You must register on the District website Calendar of Events.  Just go to that date to register.
  3. Appoint a Foundation Chair for your club and enter them into the list of officers in club central.
  4. Set a club goal for Foundation giving.  There is no longer a per capita requirement for giving to the Foundation so all clubs are on even ground.  We must remember, though, that if you give to the Foundation you will have money returned to the District for grants.  If giving falls off we will have less to give back.
