The Institute offers a leadership development program in three full day sessions (Parts I, II and III) which are usually taken over the course a several months to a year or so. The courses are designed to provide Rotary knowledge and to develop leadership skills (it's also a GREAT networking opportunity!).
Given that the retention rate of those who graduate from the RLI is more than double that of non-attendees, be sure that your Club encourages as many attendees as possible. You will not regret it, as the experience is always great and motivating.
Some examples of course sessions include:
- Introduction to Leadership
- Creating Service Projects
- Effective Committees
- Membership Development
- International Service
- Problems of Leadership
- Creative Service
- Written Communications
- Motivating Rotarians and Effecting Change
The GRADUATE program offers courses in subjects such as:
- Motivating Rotarians
- Why people volunteer
- Council of Legislation
