With 50 volunteers clad in event t-shirts, the Kings Park High School cafeteria was converted into 4 assembly lines, each making well over 2,000 meals.  With dozens of students from KPHS, joined by a handful of Interactors from Commack High School, a half dozen Rotarians from Ronkonkoma and a bunch from Commack-Kings Park, the event went off without a hitch.  Thanks to the amazing help from Outreach, we were able to provide these meals at a cost of 25 cents per hungry child served.  Check out the video HERE.

This event was a practice run and was inspired by the End Hunger on Long Island event that the district has scheduled for November 12.  Keep an eye out for announcements on the final times and locations for the November 12th event, and help the district reach its goals...  The major event in Kings Park High School will be scheduled for sometime in the spring.  Keep an eye out on the district calendar for future announcements...
