Congressman Lee Zeldin will be discussing Veterans Affairs at a community networking event sponsored by the Rotary Club of Seatuck Cove on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. at JC’s Restaurant, 2 Country Club Drive, Manorville.

The Congressman brings unique insight to veteran’s issues. He is not only an Army veteran, but he continues to serve today as a Major in the Army Reserves. In addition, our Congressional district has the highest population of veterans by county in New York State and one of the largest in the entire country.

Congressman Zeldin is a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee and shares a passion with Rotarians for helping Veterans in the first Congressional district. He has proposed legislation (H.R. 2460) to expand care for disabled veterans that was unanimously passed by the committee with strong bipartisan support.

At this community networking event, the Rotary Club of Seatuck Cove will be raising money and making a monetary donation to a local veteran’s organization in Suffolk County. Tickets ($50 each) may be purchased, and donations can be given online at www.seatuckcoverotary.org. A dinner buffet is included with the purchase of a ticket.
