Prayer Given to Celebrate DG Nick's Year "Be A Gift To The World"

As we gather tonight to celebrate the successes of District Governor Nick’s year, and reflect on his year’s theme, “Be A Gift To The World,” the gift of Rotary is evident in this room, with friends all around all because someone shared their gift of Rotary with us.

At lunch yesterday Nick said, “Rotary is magic,” and it truly is. We all come from different backgrounds, with different talents, occupations, finances, life experiences and political views. Some Rotarians in our District even come from different countries.

Yet through Rotary service we met, became friends and do amazing things that make differences throughout the Hudson Valley as well as around the world. We take our differences and use them for the good of others.

Lord,
Let us be a source of hope to those in need and let us give thanks to all our past leaders and grant wisdom and vision to our leaders yet to come. Let our Rotarians continue to have stamina, patience and a sense of humor as we work together in “Rotary Serving Humanity” during incoming District Governor Louis’ year as we continue to “Do Good and Have Fun.”
