Goshen Rotarians & Goshen HS Interactors
Hosted District YouthExchange students
for 3 days in February
Goshen HS Interactors hosted 5 of them during the school day on Friday, JD (Belgium) and Giulia (Italy) were hosted by the Global Studies department at Tuxedo's George F. Baker - driven by Beth(Obremksi)McGowan Science teacher and former Rotary Exchange student to Sweden.
Thurs - Dinner with Goshen Rotarians at Obremskis
Fri - off to the two high schools where they spoke in all the Global Studies classes and, from what we hear, had very good conversations with the students.
Fri - evening - Interactors hosted an evening at the Goshen HS - our club brought supper for about 25 Interactors, some stage crew, administrators and students - they had a previous of the spring musical "The Sound of Music", worked on a service project with the Interactors and chatted.
Sat - brunch with Rotarians and some neighbors at our home - then bowling and lunch, fond farewell hugs with promised to be in touch and back to our home for pick up by host families.
It was a valuable and memorable experiences for the students in both High schools and the YEX students who expressed a lot of pleasure at being asked about their countries and their lives.
