DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER FOR PETS

Calling all Clubs!

The Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) is quickly approaching, and we need all the clubs to name a President Elect, and get the President Elect to register for the PETS sessions.  If you have not named a President Elect, this would be a great time to have your club’s nominating committee get together and choose the next Club President.

The PETS sessions begin on January 10th, with a Fireside Chat night, with a welcoming message from our DGE Lisa Bishop.  After that the PE’s will meet for PETS on the last Thursday of each month through May, hearing from a talented group of Rotarians, who want to make sure you are ready for the challenge of being a Rotary Club President.

The PETS sessions will cover a wide variety of topics which will help the PE’s get ready for their year to lead your Club. The PE’s will learn the basics about Rotary, what a Club President actually does, leadership skills, the Rotary technology tools, what a good meeting looks like, and how to improve the membership of your club.  And most importantly, the PE’s will get a chance to meet all the other PE’s in the District, learn what other clubs are doing well, and discuss ways to make your President’s year one that will not only be memorable, but also impactful and meaningful to your community.

Whether this is your first time as Club President, or whether you are being called upon to serve again, there will be something that you will be able to take with you back to your Club.  By the end of the PETS Sessions, you will be prepared lead a Rotary Club, and your experience as Club President will be that much more successful. So let’s go clubs, and let’s get registered! To register see District Events on the right column of this newsletter and click on the PETS dates.
