Interact – An Inspiring Interact Story – Forwarded by Helene Burrowes

The following is a story from a D7080 Interact club – Levi Creek Public School in Mississauga.

On Mon, Feb 17, 2020, School Teacher Kiran Pothula wrote about a project that young Interact student (Will) had started.  The yarn was donated by Rotarian Lynne Mack.

“Sharing some great news with you both. The yarn donated was used to loom knit sweaters for rescue dogs and cats in shelters. One of the students in my class started a charity 3 years ago- Good Will Good Karma. Once we found out about it, children wanted to knit sweaters for the rescue animals. So, that is what we did. On Valentine's day, we donated them to Will as a token of sharing and celebrating LOVE!  Please see the message from Will's mom below! Will will be on Breakfast Television tomorrow morning at 7:30 am!” (Read more)

Oh Ms. Pothula, there were tears upon tears at this house when Will arrived home from school Friday. We were literally blown away with EVERY act of kindness you and Levi Creek showed Will/Good Will Good Karma – I honestly do not know where to begin – your card, kind words and VERY generous family donation.  Then the knitted dog sweaters!! OMG so cute and thoughtful and appreciated! The announcement melted our hearts.

Not only is Will feeling even more inspired on his mission – he feels LOVED and appreciated!
I wish you could see his social media posts – particularly Facebook. You would see the genuine joy and the difference you made in a little boy!

Tomorrow is a very big day – overwhelmed with the social media attention he is getting in advance of his appearance on Breakfast Television. The word is spreading – and more importantly the message! Where there is a WILL, there is a way! Even the smallest people, the smallest acts, make a big difference!  Feeling blessed! – Kristi Rajala
