Hello,
My name is Lauren Ing, and I am a student at Western University in London, Ontario, and am a sponsorship and fundraising executive for Engineers in Action at my university. Engineers in Action (EIA) is a global organization working with indigenous professionals to improve communities through sustainable initiatives. Western University’s student-run chapter of EIA is looking to increase our involvement this summer. As a part of the EIA Bridge Building Program our goal is to help diminish rural, isolated poverty through the construction of pedestrian footbridges. By doing so, we allow communities to gain better access to basic resources such as water, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

As this is our second year of operations, it would be the perfect time for Rotary's involvement. We plan on sending five student volunteers to help construct a pedestrian bridge in a rural community of Bolivia. Any donation or sponsorship of any amount will be directly funding this program. Your generosity will contribute to the essentials of the project including, construction materials and travel requirements for our student volunteers. The attached package further details the mission of EIA, and the four levels of sponsorship available to you. Located on Page 5 in the sponsorship package there are details of donation acknowledgements and levels of advertisement available for Rotary.

If you would like to be apart of our mission please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss further details.

On behalf of the WEIA team, I would like to thank you for your time and consideration!

Sincerely,

Lauren Ing
