For 50 years, Rotaract has been an ever-growing partner to Rotary in our pursuit of doing good. While the program is newer to District 6330, it is one that is rapidly growing throughout our communities and around the world. And as many of you know, Rotary International President Barry Rassin has challenged each Rotary District to double the size of their Rotaract programs in the 2018-2019 year.

The Rotaract program in 6330 is young and growing, and so is already primed for an infusion of members in the coming years. But to do so, it will need support and leadership. So to promote the growth of the program, and to provide ongoing support and collaboration with our Rotaract Clubs, I am excited to announce the formation of a Provisional District Rotaract Committee. The District Rotaract Committee is composed of both Rotarians and Rotaractors, and is dedicated to ensuring that all Rotaract Clubs are provided with the support they need.

This committee will be Co-Chaired by District Rotaract Chair Don Moore, and a new appointee Rotaractor Reid William Eyre, who will serve as Provisional District Rotaract Representative until an election for the position can be held for next year. Reid is well educated on the Rotaract program, and recently partook in District Rotaract Representative Training at the Rotary International Convention in Toronto. His passionate leadership will be an incredible asset as we move forward.

All around the world, District Rotaract Committees are leading their Rotaract programs towards bigger and better things, growing the membership and ensuring that the program has all the resources it needs to thrive. In some Districts, the number of Rotaractors has exceeded the number of Rotarians- and the magnitude of their projects reflect that dedication as well.

In our own District, three community-based Rotaract Clubs have Charted in the last twelve months, with conversations to begin more taking place all the time. To learn more about Rotaract in District 6330, visit the new website at www.rotary6330.org/rotaract.

If your club might be interested in Sponsoring or Co-Sponsoring a Rotaract Club, or even just to learn more about the program both here and around the world, please reach out to Provisional District Rotaract Representative (DRR) Reid who would be happy to schedule a time to present to your club. As Rotarians, it is our job to embolden young professionals to join our incredible organization. You could even say that we need to… Be the Inspiration, and a strong Rotaract program is an excellent place to start.

Below you will find the contact information for Reid as well as links to interesting resources. I encourage you to check them out. Together, we can embolden the Rotaract program in 6330 and create a generation of future Rotarians!
