Village of Elk Rapids Parks and Recreation Commission members along with Elk Rapids Rotary members and friends join together to celebrate the Commission's successful Pearl's New Orleans Kitchen fundraiser that resulted in almost $3000 raised for the rink located at Veteran's Memorial Park. Rotarians offered matching funds up to $1000 for the November 16 event at Pearl's, which generated $1950 in tickets, donations and a portion of beverage sales. Funds will be used to complete the purchase of the rink equipment as well as additional items including a warming station, ice skates and maintenance items.
