District 5890 2017-18 Fall Rotary Foundation Seminar: Rotarians, the Rotary Foundation, and how we can be “People of Action” post-Harvey

To be live streamed too at the District's Facebook page:

On Thursday, November 8, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. we will have the Fall Foundation Seminar at The Women’s Home Mabee WholeLife Wellness Center, 1838 Johanna Drive, Houston, TX 77005 (north of Long Point Road between Wirt Road and Antoine Drive). Doors will open at 6.

No registration fee!

While the timing this evening will be shorter than past Foundation Seminars, we will cover important topics. What will be covered that night? Expect a series of club presentations on their Harvey projects as well as a DisasterUSA presentation. We will also have a discussion as to funding opportunities involving (1) Rotary District 5890 Charities, Inc., (2) the Rotary International Hurricane Harvey Donor Advised Fund, and (3) new Hurricane Harvey related District Grants. Among the leaders of those discussions will be Past District Governor Rhonda Wall Kerby and Vicki Brentin, the District’s representative to the Rotary International Hurricane Harvey Donor Advised Fund.

We will announce our keynote speakers within the next few days. Other Rotary Foundation topics will be addressed, but fewer in number than in past seminars. Expect other Rotary Foundation topics to be covered in a Foundation Seminar to be scheduled in January 2018.

We are exploring the possibility of live streaming the event.

Details to follow within days.
