5830 Rotarians: we are two months away from our new Rotary year! In Hollywood terms, it’s almost a wrap! But, how it turns out now is completely up to you. As Club members, we are viewed on many levels: the involvement we have serving others in our communities, the nation, and the world; the legacy of service we leave to others; and the ability we have to communicate to others and act as agents of change carrying on our ideals through the Object of Rotary and our Core Values.
You have all impressed me and our District Team by the work done through your Clubs in each of your communities, but it is now urgent that you record your service and the goals you have achieved in Rotary Club Central. If you do not, it is as though it never happened.
Remember President Holger Knaack’s goal was to have all clubs be Citation Clubs. Most, if not all, 5830 Clubs should now qualify.
We stand ready to help. You have done the hard work. You have held your Clubs together. You have recruited the backlog of members not yet installed. You have the new PHFs not yet reported and PolioPlus contributions not yet made.
We can help. PDG Ted Huffhines and PDG Tom DeWitt have a Matching Points Campaign running until May 31st. Each $100 donated toward the Paul Harris Fellowship is matched by 100 points from the District, allowing all to achieve a PHF or multiple PHFs more quickly.
