2020 has been an incredibly challenging year and it’s still not over.  Hopefully, the end is coming given the vaccines are here.  The Rotary Club of Dallas has made a difference in a number of ways this year.
The first being Rotary Feeds the Need where members donate funds to the Club and then those funds are distributed to various charities.  President Jim had also set aside funds for specific Covid related needs.  We recently helped Faith Family Academy and Woodrow Wilson High School.  The Interact Clubs at each saw need and asked for help.

Interact – Faith Family Academy

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Dallas for your support this year of the Faith Family Academy “Angel Tree” process.

Thanks to the Rotary Club of Dallas, Faith Family Academy was able to significantly expand our Angel Tree program to students and families this year. Due to RCD support, Faith Family Academy was able to serve 265 “Angels” this year, as compared to 176 last year – an additional 89 students. Rotary funding was used to “adopt” student “Angels” and provide them with a large bag of Christmas presents that included requested toys, clothing, jackets, hats/mittens/gloves, and other special items that each child identified that they would like to receive.

Interact – Woodrow Wilson High School

The Rotary Club of Dallas used funds designated for Covid 19 projects to help replenish the food pantry at the Woodrow Wilson High School in East Dallas.  We partnered with our Interact club at the school to help acquire the needed supplies.  Every little bit helps.
