On September 10, 2021, members of The Rotary Club of Dallas gathered at the DFW National Cemetery to help clean the gravestones of military service personnel.
At 10:00 a.m. we gathered with other service organizations that had come to help and honor the fallen. After an initial ceremony hosted by Carry the Load over 150 volunteers were dismissed. Our members went to section 10 and began cleaning graves in teams.  Rotarians would read or call out the name of each individual, giving a moment to honor and respect our service men and women. We were honored to clean graves of soldiers that had been awarded medals, were buried with their spouses, and those that fought in wars ranging from WWI to Desert Storm.
