When the weather outside is frightful, there is always a way to participate online.
One of the benefits of the pandemic shutdown was to enable so much to be done online. Taking advantage of that and a triple-match opportunity at the North Texas Food Bank, RCPC instituted a Virtual Food Drive to help the Food Bank refill their coffers. To date a lot of generous donations have been received, but there are a few days left and members were urged to take advantage of them! A food packing day is scheduled for later in the spring. Looking forward to spring, RCPC is assisting their collaborative partner, the Salvation Army to upgrade their recreation area for the Adult Rehabilitation Center. As a part of that effort, a “wish list” was set up on Amazon for multiples of items like basketballs, pickleball equipment, horseshoe games, etc. to make recreation more enjoyable once the weather permits. When February comes, can Spring be far behind?
